Basketball Court Construction
Pro-Grade Outdoor Hoops Layouts and Multi-Layer Acrylic Surfacing Built for Texas Heat.
An elite backyard basketball court demands more than just a concrete slab and a hoop. It requires a surface engineered to absorb impact, deliver a true ball bounce, and handle the blistering southern sun. At EliteTrax Surfaces, we construct and resurface premium outdoor basketball courts for residential estates, community parks, and commercial athletic facilities. While our concrete coatings division proudly stays local to North Fort Worth, our specialized outdoor court construction crew travels statewide across Texas and into neighboring states to build stadium-quality athletic assets.
Consistent Pro-Level Bounce: Our multi-layer acrylic surfacing systems are engineered for an even, predictable ball response across the slab, minimizing dead spots.
Aggressive Slip-Resistant Grip: We mix fine, uniform silica sand aggregate directly into our vibrant color coats. This gives players maximum foot traction for quick cuts and drives, even in humid outdoor conditions.
Heavy-Duty Concrete Prep: We use industrial diamond grinders to open the concrete pores before applying our systems, creating a strong mechanical bond designed to resist peeling and blistering under heavy use.
The EliteTrax Basketball Advantage
Engineered for Aggressive Play, Sharp Traction, and Maximum Longevity.

EliteTrax is an authorized dealer of Laykold, the acrylic surfacing brand best known as the official court of the US Open. Laykold systems are built for tennis, pickleball, and basketball alike, giving your court the same surfacing technology trusted at the professional level.

Our Multi-Layer Court Surfacing Process
Four Precision Steps to an Unmatched Playing Surface.
We run heavy industrial planetary diamond grinders over the raw concrete slab. This mechanical preparation profile removes weak surface laitance and opens the concrete grain for a permanent bond.
We apply a heavy-duty primer and acrylic resurfacer layer to completely seal the concrete, block underground moisture vapor, and smooth out micro-textures in the concrete.
Mechanical Profiling
Vapor Barrier & Acrylic Resurfacing
Our crew applies multiple layers of highly pigmented, UV-stable acrylic resins fortified with silica aggregate. This builds the durable, high-traction wear layer that defines the court speed and texture.
Using specialized, high-visibility textured line paint, our layout team hand-marks and paints the keys, three-point lines, and boundaries with absolute edge crispness and zero bleed.

Common Questions About Our Basketball Builds
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you install indoor hardwood basketball gym floors?
No. EliteTrax Surfaces specializes exclusively in outdoor athletic court surfacing using premium, weather-proof acrylic resin systems. We do not install indoor wood floors, rolled rubber flooring, or interlocking plastic tiles for indoor home gyms.
How far does your basketball court installation crew travel?
While our residential garage and concrete coatings division stays local to the North Fort Worth Metroplex (Trophy Club, Keller, Southlake), our outdoor sport court division is fully mobile, traveling across Texas and into Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas.
Can you install the commercial-grade hoop systems as well?
Yes. We provide complete, turnkey outdoor court builds. This includes digging and pouring the heavy-duty concrete footings required to safely anchor adjustable, pro-style in-ground basketball goal systems and net posts.
What color options do you offer for backyard courts?
We offer a wide selection of vibrant, UV-stable acrylic colors. Popular combinations include classic stadium greens, modern light and dark blue tones, sleek grays, and bold reds. We can customize the court body, keys, and boundary borders to match your exact vision.
Can you fix a cracked concrete slab before surfacing it for basketball?
Absolutely. We don't apply finishes over unaddressed damage. Our crew routes out structural cracks, cleans them thoroughly, and injects industrial-strength structural menders to create a flat, stable surface before the acrylic layers go down.
How long does it take until we can play on the new court?
The physical multi-layer acrylic surfacing process typically takes three to five consecutive dry days. Once the final regulation boundary lines are painted, the court requires a full 48 hours to cure before you can host your first game.
